What Are the Requirements to Change Status to State National

Can I complete the documents to return to the land if I am visiting Arizona?

Yes you can complete the documents and have them witnessed by a State Recording Secretary but your documents must be recorded and published in your home state

 

How long do I have to live in Arizona to adopt Arizona as my state?

You must have an address on Arizona for 6 months to be considered a resident of the state. 

What if I am a “snowbird” or have multiple residences?

You will adopt the state you reside in at least 6 months of the year.

Can I adopt Arizona even though I was born in Michigan?

Michigan in your nationality and always will be, Arizona is your adopted state.

Can I change my status to American National if I was born in another country.

Yes.  There are definite papers you will need to do.  You will need a birth certificate, Naturalization papers, green card, visa, or some identification validating your position.  You will have to submit a letter of good standing.  A Recording Secretary can help you with this process.  There are many circumstances that will determine what is needed in case by case situations.

Where do I file the documents?

You can file your documents at the County Recorders Office.  This is the de facto office and will not gain you access to the Arizona Assembly.   It will establish you as a State National.  You may join the Assembly.  A County Chair or State Coordinator can help you.

Where do I find the necessary paperwork for this process?

A Recording Secretary, County Chair or State Coordinator can help you with the paperwork.  They have been trained to complete the paperwork correctly. 

Witnesses for your Witness Testimony Paperwork

Who can witness the Witness Testimonies that are part of the paperwork?

Anyone that is 18 years of age, sound mind and has known you for 7 years minimum.

            Family, Friends, Partners, Co Workers, Pastors, Neighbors,  Etc. 

What if my witnesses live out of state?

First ask yourself how long have you lived in Arizona State?  If you have no one here that could be a valid witness, then you will have to create the Witness Testimony send to your witness via email or snail mail.  Testimonies must be printed in COLOR and they can be Notarized at a local bank, Fed Ex, USP office.  The ORIGINAL notarized Testimony will be sent back to you via Snail Mail to be included with your documents when you meet with a Recording Secretary to be Recorded and Published

Federal Income Taxes

Can I still file income tax with my husband at the end of the year?

No you won’t be filling any income tax forms.  To do so will put you back in Corporate Status you just removed yourself from.

Do I have to pay Income taxes after I change my status?

You NEVER had to pay income taxes!   It was a voluntary tax and you were never told.  After you have recorded and published your paperwork you will send a letter to the IRS stating that you no long “elect” to pay income taxes.  If the IRS continues to hassle you contact your State Coordinator or County Chair for remedy or learn what rights you have and how to stand on them.

Social Security, Medicare and Pensions

Will I loose my pensions, annuities, social security, medicare by changing my status?

No.  Those are monies you worked for and put away for retirement.  That is YOUR money.

 

Minor Children

What if my spouse doesn’t want to change their status? Will that prevent me from changing mine?

No.  You can be married to a US CITIZEN as a State National. 

Can I get a Passport after I have changed my status if I was born in another country.

This is unclear at this writing.  Some say NO and others say that is untrue.
